Photographs. They capture a split second of our existence that we can never again reproduce, a single moment that we will never again be able to experience exactly. But through pictures we can relive those moments again and again, we can experience the same array of emotions that we felt in those split seconds. Photographs, for many are an essential in looking back on the past. They are needed for many to once again look on the face of loved ones who are no longer with us. For many they are also used to look back on themselves in their 'finer times' of life.
The power of photography and film is now stronger than ever and even through things like Instagram we can look back on certain pictures with just the click of a button. Pictures will always be one of my favourite things in life as they truly allow me to remember what in incredible life I have had so far, and yet there are so many more pictures still to come in my life. There are still many more moments that I will capture and relive time after time. This idea is truly one which for me, emphasises the sheer power of photography.
Here's to many more moments captured.
This post was inspired by a beautiful quote from Karl Largerfeld - 'Photographs capture a moment that's gone forever, impossible to reproduce'.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed.
